Although it is not the do it all, your blog template also play a major role in bringing success for the blog. For those that know it, your blog or website is like an office. Only that it is a virtual office. Just like in real world, when you hunt for an office, you will want your office located in a commercial place and where it is open to all and not in a secluded area. One more thing, you will want to make sure that your office is well finished and organised in such a way that it will stand out among other offices around there.

As for your blog, it is in the template of the blog all the finishings are seen. How it is designed. Sleeky or not. SEO ready or not. Does the design even encourage the visitors? This is all you will have to take care. Hold on, do you even know what a blog template is?

What is A Blog Template?

Blog template is sometimes called THEME. Blog template in general terms is all about the look of your blog. Is it Blue coloured or green, responsive or not, has 1, 2 or 3 sidebars? Maybe you don't even prefer to use sidebars at all. -all these are part of your blog template.

What Does A Good Blog Template Look Like?

#1. Must Be Humanly Readable : a good blog template should be humanly readable. A blog template that is humanly readable does not have its fonts size(s) so small that you will have to squint before you are able to read from it. The images have to align well. The  blockquote  texts have to be clearly ruled out. So also is the  UL li and other page elements and tags have to be.

When all these are done, your readers can easily get whichever message you're passing across hence, a re-share of that content in social sites or offline may be encouraged.

#2. Must Be Responsive : a responsive blog template is the one that fits on any screen size. Either that it is displayed in a 4.8inchs Mobile phone or in a 10.0inch Android Tablet, it just won't loose its look. One major advantage of Responsive Template is that it brings all your blog traffic to a course making your blog circulation and distribution easy.

#3. Should Comply with SEO Rules : this is an important factor to consider when creating a template for your blog, or when choosing a template for your blog. A template that complies with SEO Rules will definitely be friendly making it easy for search engines (such as Google) to crawl and index the page easily.

#4. Must Be Easily Navigable : just like map, a good navigation araarrangements is a must for your blog. Blog Navigation is the way you arrange your blog core links. This is what helps visitors browse your blog easily.

You may check Blog Mapping that was earlier discussed on how to make a successful blog for tips on how to make a good navigation system for your blog.

#5. Must Be Easily Shareable : if you have successfully applied the tips given above, then, you should do yourself a favour of helping people help you. A good blog template should have Share Buttons in place so that people/visitors can easily share the good pieces of information you have put up in your blog.

It is known that when a piece of information is shared, it attracts twice as much the initial traffic.

#6. Should Portray your Business Logos or Colours : this is a plus and really necessary but it's a good idea to have your blog template blended with your business logo. Just look at the banks and other commercials! It's just clever packaging that's worth it.
